This Motor Shield is based on the L298P chip, which is a dual full-bridge driver designed to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. It can be used to drive two DC motors, controlling the speed and direction of each one independently. This board contains a number PCB holes; thus few more electronic components can be mounted on it in a custom way.
