IR Proximity Sensor for Obstacle Detection
This IR proximity sensor emits infrared light, and once the light hits an object, it is reflected back to the sensor. Thus it can be used to detect obstacles in front of it within a very short range of 2 ~ 30 cm within 35°. It produces digital output as 1 or 0. This device can be used for a 3 ~ 5V DC power supply. This sensor is widely used in DIY projects, obstacle detection, line-following robot tracks, and many other robotic projects, etc.
