This filament run out sensor unit has been designed to detect whether the printer is running out of filament. It uses the level jump detection method to identify the presence of filament in it. During printing, if the module detected that it is out of filament then a signal will be send to the main board. With correct firmware settings, the printing will be paused until reload the filament and resume the printing.
